Made It Back
Been away for a while and there is a whole new setup to learn now I am back.
Thanks for getting me back in Tony, the new log in worked fine.
A lot of changes in the biker world recently - anti association legislation and the formation of the UMC, which I think is something that we should all be supporting as there has been a large increase in police presence at any of the charity rides etc of recent times and it seems a dramatic change in attitude towards bikers from our Politicians and Police.
I was pulled over a couple of months ago, riding alone and well under the 60 speed limit (top of Tamborine), riding my stock standard Triumph Thruxton. Heaps of questions which really had no relevance to the circumstances, photos of me and my bike and a $80 booking for the only non-standard item on the bike - a tube type rego holder, fitted immediately below the number plate. Apparently if it had been a flat holder but fixed to the chain guard it would have been fine, even though it would have been impossible to see from a following police vehicle. (I did ask).
Don't know where it is all leading but I certainly don't like the rumours of wearing high vis clothing being compulsory while riding.

Hi Greg, Welcome back! Where
Hi Greg, Welcome back! Where have you been all this time? Doing anything exciting?
I often wondered about the legality of those rego rollers. Now I know. Sorry to hear that you got fined. In those situations they can usually find something to get you for. I know people who've been fined because the angle of their number plate to the ground is wrong - but that's the way the manufacturer has made the bike and they allow it to be registered that way. Makes no sense.
