2011 Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycles built through October 14, 2010 as well as other 2011 Softail models that have had a certain security system kit installed as an accessory.

What are the hazards?
An engine stall while in traffic or during certain maneuvers could result in loss of control and a serious accident.
What are the defects?
On vehicles fitted with these kits, the Body Control Module (BCM) has a case that may not be sealed sufficiently to prevent water intrusion. Water intrusion of the BCM may lead to an engine stall.
