Failure of the Back Angle Sensor, due to vibration, can cause the engine to shut down while riding. If this happens whilst in operation there is potential for the rider to lose control of the motorcycle resulting in an accident.
What are the defects?
The unique vibration characteristics of this particular model can cause resonance that may affect the operation of the Back Angle Sensor. If the sensor is affected, it can cause the engine to shut off during normal riding conditions and the engine cannot be re-started until the ignition switch has been turned off and back on.
