Bike number 19 made it to the garage yesterday, it came in a box and i had to put it together, then spend most the night fixing dodgy chinese workmanship, then fit a chain that wasn't made from die cast scrap steel, then loctite every bolt, and oil the filter, add some oil as it was only half full, and she was ready to rock. spent a few good hours on it today, very glad to be back out in the dirt, even if it isn't on a real bike. every bolt that i forgot to loctite fell off, and i told my mate on the husky 610 to take us on some easy single tracks so i could run it in, 5 minutes later i'm faced with 2ks of 15-25 degree uphill, and then lots of fire roads to get to the singletrack, i think she's run in now.

Anyway....

She's covered in mud now, had it's first oil change, replaced missing bolts ect, looking foward ot he weekend, spending a few days camping out near ballarat.

Didn't really get it to run amok on, but more to ride along side my 3 Yo son who has a kdx50, but i can see me going for alot of rides with mates too.

Bike number 3 for me....zx6r that I nearly killed myself on after getting my opens (3 times in 4 weeks) so traded her in for a vn800 classic. Did 30,000 km in 4 mths and wrote her off, replaced it with another vn800 classic. Learnt from my inexpirience and stupidity now sitting back and enjoying the ride. Done just over 30,000 in 14 mths :)

I'm on 19.5 if you count the pocket bike.

yammie06 wrote: puffing her chest out Photos? :P Well the little bike stood up to a weekends abuse with nothing else falling off, it's in bits in the shed at the moment with the rear shock out so i can raplace the shitty rubber bushes, which wore out after wednesdays ride, with bearings, i'll be off to the bearing shop soon to see if there is something suitable. And i'm on 19.5 bucko, if you count the bike i bought for daniel. :) I'm sure you'll zoom off into the lead soon enough if you keep up your current form.

Not surprised. Followed through several of those bikes with Dala via the TW forum. Now, I wonder how many bikes I have had during the past 43 years?

Dala and I are currently even on 19 bikes each. Mind you, I have 7 in my garage now, plus I have 2 cars.

I've seen some real shit stuff on some other bikes, but pitpro seem to be really good for the price, you need to expect some issues to arise, but anything that does let go can be replaced cheaply enough, most parts on these things are cheaper than pushbikes! time will tell really...

So how bad is the workmanship? I've considered getting something like that, but thought it would be cheaper(in the long run) buying a genuine trail bike.
